We were pleased to be invited to OPEN INDEX. An inquiry into independent art publishing in Italy, curated by Phonetics in collaboration with Salone Internazionale del Libro OFF, held from 19–29 May 2026 at the Restaurant of Castello di Rivoli.
On the occasion of the 2026 Turin International Book Fair, phonetics — founded through the collaboration between Axis Axis and Paint It Black — presents at Castello di Rivoli a curatorial platform dedicated to Italian art publishing, featuring a selection of leading independent publishers active today. The project unfolds across a reading room and an immersive sound installation, exploring books and editorial formats as critical spaces for research, relation, and experimentation.
Among the many compelling titles on view, visitors also encountered our editions:
