By Elena Volpato with the support of Archivio Salvo
On May 28th, the Archivorum Library hosts the launch of GRID #12 in collaboration with Archivio Salvo.
Conceived by curator Antonio Grulli and collectors Marco Martini and Diego Bergamaschi, GRID is a limited run publication, released in 100 copies, and a curated bookshelf project by an invited guest, all presented during a one-time event. With the support of Archivio Salvo, this 12th edition invites Elena Volpato (curator at GAM – Galleria Civica d’Arte Moderna e Contemporanea di Torino) to develop a focused project on the relationship between Salvo and books.
A passionate reader and an extraordinary book lover, Salvo cultivated a lifelong dialogue with the printed page. His library, his habits as a reader, and the intellectual constellations that shaped his work offer a unique entry point into his artistic universe.
Elena Volpato – a profound connoisseur of artists’ books and the long‑time curator of FLAT, the Turin book fair that left a lasting mark on the city – knows Salvo’s work intimately. She contributed to the most recent major catalogue dedicated to the artist and brings a rare depth of insight to this exploration.
Join us for drinks, a site specific vitrine full of Salvo books and an informal conversation between Antoni Grulli and Elena Volpato on this new issue of GRID!
