A prize supporting new editorial projects in contemporary art.
On the occasion of MiArt 2026, Archivorum launches the first edition of the Archivorum Publication Award x MiArt 2026, a prize dedicated to supporting the production of new editorial projects in the field of contemporary art.
The award follows the framework of Archivorum’s xM model and supports the development of an original publication created through a close collaboration between an artist and an independent publisher. The project is intended to move beyond the traditional exhibition catalogue and explore other editorial formats, including the artist’s book.
A grant of €20,000 will be awarded to support the full process of the publication, including development, design, editing, production and distribution. The allocation of the budget will be defined jointly by the artist, the publisher and Archivorum.
The award is open to artists participating in the Emergent section of MiArt 2026, and limited to those officially presented at the fair.
The selected artist will be invited to collaborate with an independent publisher, either independently chosen or selected from a shortlist curated by Archivorum, which currently includes over 50 international publishers. The jury will be composed of members of the Archivorum team.
Following the announcement, the selected artist will be required to submit a detailed editorial proposal within an agreed timeframe. The publication will be completed within 12 to 18 months from the date of the award.
The award ceremony will take place during MiArt 2026, in coordination with the fair.
The collaboration between the artist, the publisher and Archivorum will follow the standard ArchivorumxM agreement, covering budget, production, timeline, credits and delivery of copies.
